I like movies. I guess that that should be obvious by now. Thom and I decided that we should make a web page dedicated to informing the public which movies and good and which ones aren't. Thom and I have about the same opinions on most movies, but their are those, although few, that we don't quite agree on (I don't know what his problem is). I mostly like action movies, if a movie doesn't have action in it its usually not very entertaining, and the whole point of watching movies is to be entertained right? Now there are some exceptions to this rule of mine, The Shawshank Redemption for one. This movie isn't that action filled but it keeps your attention for the whole time. But in general I go for the movies that are your typical saturday- afternoon-good-guy-vs.-bad-guys-blow-up-stuff-car- chasing-gun-fighting-movies.

I review movies a little different than most critics do. I try and get straight to whether I liked the movie or not and I leave out stupid stuff most people don't care about such as so and so did a bad job as the supporting actress in this movie. First of all most people only read reviews to see whether they should go see the movie or not or if they have the same overall opinion as the writer. Second I try not to make comparisons between movies. I realize many people won't have seen the movie I would compare it to, this happens to me a lot and I believe I have seen close to 3000 movies. So I try and make my reviews short and to the point, and hopefully they will help you out.

Hey, I'm Thom. I own close to three hundred movies dated after 1990. All were purchased, some were previously viewed, and I never record a movie off of TV. Now I look at a movie, unlike Doug, for its full artistic meaning. Sure I love to watch Arnold walk into a room and break everyone's neck, in fact most of my movies are like that, but that doesn't always satisfy me. I like what I call goosebump movies,and I measure their greatness by how many times in a movie that I get goosebumps. Such movies have been: Braveheart, Armageddon, The
Postman, The Shawshank Redemption, and not so many more. It is my goal to make other movies rise above the filth that was bestowed upon them by former critics, who don't know what they're even talking about, and present these movies to you, in their full splendor!
